I began practicing yoga in 2002 and immediately loved it. After suffering torn hamstrings in 2010, my focus shifted from appreciating yoga primarily as a physical exercise, to also valuing yoga as a deeply personal practice.
As a teacher, I incorporate yogic spiritual traditions, as well as weave alignment, technique, music, and a dose of energy, excitement and fun into each class. I strive to make yoga accessible and inviting to all levels of students, and want students to leave my class feeling healthy and happy.
After traveling to Kilimanjaro with WHOA Travel in 2017, I discovered my incredible love for hiking! I am thrilled to now lead trips all over the world with WHOA Travel, including to Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp and Peru.
I completed my 200-hr certification (E-RYT 200 hour) at Yogamaya in Manhattan. I have my BA in Sociology and my certification in the Advanced Psychology of Animal Behavior and Conservation, both from Hunter College, CUNY. I also have advanced trainings in Reiki, restorative yoga, meditation, pranayama and prenatal yoga.
